A Spreadsheet for Interpolating Population Data by Single Years. This spreadsheet interpolates population data by single years using four mathematical equations developed by Sprague, Karup-King, and Beers. It Gives also a graphical presentation of the fitted curves. What you may required to do is just to type your data in Table (1). Your data may be for the total population or by age, but it must be in 5-year intervals. You need only to enter the first five age groups (0-24). The outputs are widely used in preparing educational indicators by sigle years or to be grouped according to country-specific schooling syestem. The outputs may be useful for studies on child labor and other demographic and other social sciences applications.
